I am an associate professor of political science at Miami University. I teach courses on policy evaluation, health policy, and political representation. Prior to teaching at Miami, I taught at Ohio Northern University. I received my PhD in political science and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies from the Pennsylvania State University.

My research lies at the intersection of public policy and political representation. My first book, Living off the Government? Race, Gender, and the Politics of Welfare was published by New York University Press in 2024.
